ITINERARY DAY 1

8:00 AM: Meeting with the Brothers Expeditions team At Brother’s Expeditions Agency, located at 7th North Avenue No. 38 in Antigua Guatemala. (Punctuality is very important)

9:30 AM: Arrival at “La Soledad” Arrival at the village “La Soledad,” where we will explain the details of the ascent to Acatenango Volcano.

2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Arrival at the campsite Upon arrival at the campsite, the guide will assign you a cabin where you will spend the night and where you can leave your belongings.

DAY 2

BASECAMP 3,500 MTS 3:30 AM: Ascent to the summit of Acatenango Volcano to watch the Sunrise We prepare to ascend to the summit of Acatenango Volcano, with a maximum duration of 2 hours.

Breakfast Breakfast: banana bread and muffin with jelly and cream cheese Campfire and Marshmallows Bring water so that the guide can prepare you Hot Chocolate at night and Coffee or Tea in the morning

PORTERS

A person who can help carry your backpack throughout the journey until reaching the campsite. They will make your hike easier and help save energy for the Fuego Volcano climb for up to 35 pounds; if it exceeds this weight, the price will increase

Group Camping

Enjoy a comfortable stay in our shared cabins, nestled high on Acatenango Volcano at nearly 4,000m. Our cabins provide blankets, pillows, and sleeping mats, ensuring a cozy night after a challenging hike. Gather with fellow trekkers, warm up by the campfire, and soak in the breathtaking views of Volcano Fuego from this unique mountain retreat.

Meals Included

Throughout the Acatenango Volcano hike, you'll enjoy all meals included to keep you energized at every stage of the trek. Before departure, we provide a nutritious breakfast with pancakes, a boiled egg, and fruit. For lunch, you'll have a chicken burrito, juice, and a brownie, with special dietary options available. At the campsite, a hot dinner awaits, freshly prepared at the top of the volcano, featuring noodles, vegetables, and chicken soup. You'll also have access to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate to stay warm, along with the chance to roast marshmallows by the campfire, sharing a memorable experience under the stars
